Gift from Britanny. Cadeau de Bretagne.

cadeaux de bretagne

Maelys a reçu un colis de Bretagne (En plus il y avait quelques objets pour les parents: confitures locales et sels de Guerande). Parmi les affaires de bebe, on y a trouve deux cadeaux qui nous ont particulierement touches:

Un ciré Breton
Un bol au prénom de Maelys

Le bol breton est une tradition dans la famille que j'avais un peu perdue de vue (bah oui, Maelys est notre premiere :), c'est un bol a oreille en faïence de Quimper, typique de la région. Mes sœurs et moi en avons un chacun et nous y avons pris nos petits déjeuner lors de notre tendre enfance.

Un enorme merci a Mamily et Papily.

Maelys got delivered a packaged directly from Brittany (Besides we also found items for the lucky parents: local jams, and Guerande high quality salt). Among the stuff for baby, there were two particularily touching gifts:

a yellow Breton rain coat (called cire). We are people from the sea (in additions of the country)
a bowl wearing Maelys' name

The bowl is a family tradition from which I slightly lost track of (eh! Maelys is our first :), it's a a "bowl with ears" in Quimper faience typical from the region. My sisters and I each have one et we used to take breakfast using them during our childhood.

The Happy Couple

"When was the last time you were at a wedding that had a death defying hike, rogue waves, a luau, ultimate fighting, a presidential candidate and a budding bromance?" asks Papi Chulo. For most of us, the answer is never, but luckily, Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch took the time to Vox all the amazing moments during their unforgettable Hawaiian wedding on 08.08.08 so we could all take part in the festivities.

The story began last February, when Papi Chulo popped the question and Secret Agent Scotch said yes! Since then, they've kept us in the loop about all the details, from the bride's veil to the wedding song to the final To-Do List. And throughout it all, they inspired us with their love for each other. (I'm pretty sure it doesn't get any better than knowing your future husband thinks you are The Perfect Girl.)

It's an amazing love story and we are thrilled they shared it with us. Watch the video of the ceremony and please join us in wishing Papi Chulo and Secret Agent Scotch the fairytale ending they deserve.

Cyber retrouvailles

Qui a dit que Face Book ne sert à rien?!
Des tonnes de personnes!
Mais certainement pas moi.
Non seulement j'ai retrouvé le garçon dont j'étais amoureuse au passe. Ce qui m'a permit de me sortir ce fantasme adolescent de ma petite tête. Mais en plus j'ai retrouvé mon meilleur ami de l'époque post-bac.
Ah toutes ces nuits passées sur le Dance Floor à moover nos body endiablés et à de la donner à mort (oups je m'égare).
Après des pertes de téléphones portable répétées et plusieurs déménagements nous nous étions perdus de vue et même de voix.
Dans un élan de nostalgie aigue je me suis aventurée à taper son nom une ultime fois dans le moteur de recherches et là magie il était inscrit.
Un mail, suivi d'une réponse, un coup de file et presque 10 ans après la même amitié.

L'amitié homme/femme ça traverse mieux les années que l'amour (je veux dire au sens de couple) vous ne croyez pas?
